Zhejiang Hisun Biomaterials Co., Ltd (hereafter referred to as Hisun Biomaterials) is located in Taizhou，a port city in southeastern China. It is a high-tech enterprise engaged in research and development, manufacturing and distribution of biomaterials. In Aug. 2004, Hisun Biomaterials was jointly founded by Zhejiang Hisun Group Co., Ltd, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC) of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), and Taizhou Jiaojiang State-owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. Hisun Biomaterials is dedicated to creating a harmonious society by developing plastics derived from annually renewable resources-plants. With the precious science fruits jointly made by Hisun Group and CIAC, Hisun Biomaterials focuses on developing the new material industry- polylactide (PLA). It owns intellectual property, including nine invention patents and one application patent. Our polymerization technique has reached international advanced levels, and to match it, a plastics research centre was also set up. Hisun Biomaterials now has become a model enterprise of industrialization of PLA resin and its derivative products.
